Description
The S/O at the end of this product name refers to struvite and calcium oxalate crystals which can form in the kidney and if left untreated, can have serious and sometimes fatal consequences. Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Urinary S/O is a dry food for adult dogs urinary stones (struvites) and to help prevent their recurrence.
Royal Canin Urinary S/O helps to reduce the risk of crystal formation in a number of ways. It helps to dissolve struvite stones, and its low levels of magnesium (a component of struvite crystals) help to prevent new struvites from forming. The formula also increases the volume of urine, which means less chance of urinary crystals.

- not recommended for dogs with chronic renal failure, metabolic acidosis, heart failure, pancreatitis or a history of pancreatitis, or hyperlipidaemia
