Maybe your fish is a budding actor, just waiting for the spotlight before he can put on the stage version of Finding Nemo. Or maybe you just want to keep your plants thriving. Natural sunlight will encourage the growth of algae, so keep your tank away from sunlight and use a lamp instead.

The Cara Pet Aquarium Light is 11 watts off the standard 240 volts, and has an Australian power plug. Cara Pet recommends no more than eight hours of light each day – longer light times will accelerate algae growth.
